woooweewooowaa im finally back after just dipping for like... a whole year and a half omfg. absolutely terrifying what time does.

Anyway!! I have now officially graduated uni! last year was genuinely the busiest year of my life, its a miracle I even drew during that time. (sorry i mostly post on twitter lol)

anyway. wtf is going on with my art and comics now?

so im gunna slowly get back to being active here, catching up on my 4K+ messages (im not joking) and finally slowly reading the backlog I have of nuzlocke comics and the like!! If im bothered enough I'll also start posting my big pieces I did from last year onto here lol theyre mostly commissions.

also i probably wont be responding to any messages i never answered after i left unless its important cos... omg theyre like over 6 months old i feel like its too late to respond now SORRY

Now, big news but Smoke to Vapor is now fully available on COMICFURY! I made a few edits on earlier pages as well, so I highly recommend reading the comic there for ease of reading and if you're just starting/wanting to binge read the whole thing. Pages will still continue to be posted on Deviantart too, so don't worry, its not going anywhere! I just wanted a better place for the comic to be archived. (maybe someday ill do this for penumbra too lol)

Also, As Smoke to Vapor is nearing its conclusion, from now until the end of the comic, my Patreon will allow you to have access to the FULL BACKLOG of the comic for $5. There's currently like 8 pages over there rn available to read. so if that interests you CLICK HERE and feel free to check it out.

As for public uploads, I will be resuming that soon and it will be updating weekly, 3~4 times a month as usual.

As for Penumbra, I'll be posting that once or twice a month (if im feeling spicy) and that will be resuming once i am bothered enough to log onto forums lol. there's also like 3 pages up on Patreon rn if u wanna read up on them now tho.

Hi everyone, I’ve been so busy I literally didn’t have time and forgot to make this announcement earlier, but from this month on I will be taking a break and be on hiatus now. It’s my final year of uni and things are starting to ramp up and I just don’t have time for my comics anymore sadly. Life has just been non stop and very exhausting at the moment and I haven’t had much of a break at all lol 💔

Anyway I’ll get straight to the point on the plan going forward for the rest of this year.

Smoke to Vapor

Smoke to Vapor will be the exception lol I really don’t want to pause this comic when it’s getting so close to the end. That being said I won’t be uploading weekly either. For Smoke to Vapor I’m just going to post pages whenever I have the time to actually work on one, (which might be rare tbh) that might be once a month or maybe even less. So it’s just gunna go on a kinda random schedule.

Penumbra

Penumbra I’ll be posting a page this month then putting it on hiatus. It’s kinda sad cos my goal was to reach the grass trial this year but I ended up doing up to like the page right before it. rip oh well close enough

Art

I won’t be 100% gone and I’ll be posting a lot of my art backlog (most of them being large commissions and gift art, etc.) just so my gallery doesn’t look like a wasteland lmaoo but if u do want to see more art from me I’ll be posting on my Twitter.

So when will I be back?

Idk LMAO as soon as unis over for me I’m going back to Korea for a month in December/January so I don’t think I’ll be working on my comics much. I also wanted to host nuzlocke rewind again but alas there’s just so much going on 🥲 maybe next year. so maybe I’ll be back February who knows lol

But yeah I apologise for my inactivity which will probably continue till early next year. I miss y’all and I really wish I had just a bit more time to talk to people and catch up on everyones comics and art but it’s just been incredibly difficult 😔 this is the busiest year of my life and I just don’t have time for any side projects or to be very active online atm.

I’ll still check in here every now and again but will be slow and responding and pretty inactive.

Hello I’m back (hopefully for real this time but not gunna bet on it hjgdkf)

Ive done a lot of reflecting over the past month but I’ll keep it brief! Basically, as it stand now I don’t think that its healthy for me to continue how I’ve been managing my projects and drawing because I’ve definitely noticed how unhealthy my work habits were where I was actively punishing myself and not taking breaks at all. Legit had to teach myself what a break was this month cos i hadn’t had one in years lmao. Juggling 2 comics, (a 3rd one in the works) patreon, commissions, uni work and animations all at the same time was not a good idea lol. Not to mention my constantly fluctuating mental and physical health conditions oof

Thankfully I’m a lot better now! I dedicated the past 3 weeks to recover so the worst of the symptoms are gone, hell ye but I still have a long way to go before I’m back to normal. While I’m still currently on the road to recovery, I’m going to make some changes so that I can make time for real breaks and self care and not just clowning myself calling “working on another project” a break.

I’m also just not gunna punish myself whenever I miss an update due to health reasons, I had a bad habit of working on things even when my body needed rest so I’m going to be preventing that going forward and will just give a heads up if my health screws up for the week.

Another thing I might do is I might try be more lax with the way pages look, I know sometimes I can try to overachieve, I go in with the mentality that every page has to be better than the last (mostly for penumbra) and I end up trying to get every page to meet my stuck up high standards. But I think I might try different lineart styles and backgrounds. I know I can push myself a bit too much when it comes to painting intricate establishing shots and all so I might be a bit more experimental, who knows

Smoke to Vapor

From now on Smoke to Vapor will update every second week (so like 2~3 times a month depending on how I feel) rather than every week. I’ll still aim for Friday updates unless like, the last week of the month has no Friday then just close your eyes and pretend like it is psspspsp

If I continue with this schedule Smoke to Vapor should be completed by early next year!

Penumbra

Penumbra is in a really awkward situation rn with how updates will happen (patrons know wtf I’m talking about) but lets just say it’ll update whenever the hell it wants at minimum once a month, I’m not gunna put any restrictions a strict schedule on this one, I’ll just do what I feel like as ive done in the past haha

that being said I will post a new page today to make up for the lack of one in July when I just got out of a hiatus lol

Commissions

As of now commissions are closed indefinitely, I’ll probably open them when I feel like it with Patons getting first pick. But I will post my updated commission sheet once I’m open! I might open commissions on Deviantart first next time since I’ve been getting my commissions through twitter currently.

TLDR: Taking a break till January for the sake of my own health. No new art/comic updates till then.

Hi guys, so its quite obvious that ive been really inactive on all social media for the past few weeks due to just a lot of personal reasons and I think its best if I take the rest of this month off from art/comics/updates etc. I usually take my Decembers off from comics but I think I got overly ambitious this year, and tried to continue updating because I felt guilty on going inactive during the first month when Covid really hit.

But now I’m kind of realising I haven’t had a break since then (since March) and have been working non stop even when uni has finished for me. And because I haven’t given myself a break I feel really really drained both mentally and physically. I cant draw as much as I used to these days because of my arm giving me pain for the past 3 weeks lol so I think its time I stop and give myself some time to recover because clearly I haven’t done that in a while. This month has been pretty stressful for me so I don’t think giving myself a bigger workload is going to help.

So, you know what that means, no new art (might still upload some buffer) and putting my comics on pause, which I really didn’t want to do but I think its for the best. I’ll be continuing them both in January. I’m also going to probably be off and on social media for a bit too since I just really need a break. If you have any urgent matters and need to contact me I recommend doing it through twitter DMs or notes here.

Also, I should mention that even without my comics I have a lot of projects I am working on right now, the biggest one being hosting a big collab/MAP which will be coming out hopefully at the end of the year or early next year! I’m also working on the animatic update for penumbra, but at my own pace without the pressure of a deadline over my head.

I also want to apologise for not being able to do the 31 days of Christmas this year. I wrote up the list and knew who I was gunna draw for but I honestly don’t think I’ll be able to do it up to the standard that I like and I don’t think I have the time to draw everyone either. To those to added me to their wish list I’m really honoured to be there with a lot of other amazing artists and I’m sorry I can’t draw anything for you this year, but if you tag me next year I’ll try my best to get 31 days of Christmas done then :’)
